Handcrafted silver pendant with a beautiful Japanese Samurai silver bar/coin from the 1859-1868 era.  Each is one-of-a kind.
Each coin is real money circulated in the Edo period.  These ancient Japanese coins are of the larger design from 1859 and each pendant measures about 3/4" X 1 1/4" and weigh about 15 grams.  These silver pendants are a great value.
(These are
NOT
the tiny, tiny 1.89 gram gin bar coins).  These Japan Ansei Dynasty bar coins each weigh approximately 8.7 grams and measure 24 X 17mm.
Each handcrafted pendant is designed in a silver bamboo "frame" to highlight the Japanese Samurai bar theme.  This custom made bamboo pendant is designed to fit around each coin and it shows so well expect to receive many, many compliments, it looks
stunning!
Each pendant coin is unique and different and each shows in practically perfect condition as well.  Unless you are a coin collector or historian these show in uncirculated-like condition to the eye.  You will be hard pressed to find these anyplace else at this price and each pendant is custom made piece by piece here in Key West, Florida.

You will have fun researching this coins history.  This ancient Japanese coin is known as the "Samurai Bar" coin which is an unusual and beautiful coin from over 150 years ago. Because of the age and the fact that Japan was closed to foreign trade at the time makes these precious coins very rare.
Note:  Each coin and pendant varies as none are alike.  Although I sell a lot of Atocha coins from the same era, these coins are not from the Atocha sunken treasure ship but from Japan- Samurai Ichibu Gin silver.
