    Description

From the December 30th, 1897 issue of "Leslie's Weekly," the large (16-1/2 x 22-1/2 inch) centerfold photo print: "The Blackville Gallery. No. 1. Rehearsal of the Blackville Choir - 'Grandpap, Gib Us De Base!' - (Next Week. 'The Blackville Wedding.')" At the end of 1897 and then into 1898, Leslie's featured a set (abt. 20) of photographic prints called The "The Blackville Gallery" series. The photographs were originally produced by Knaffl & Bro., Knoxville, Tennessee. Leslie's magazine started to feature them as their magazine centerfolds.
This print is in good or better condition. There is slight separation at center vertical fold line (very bottom); tiny staple marks along this line also.
