Antique African Slave Trade Etching Print Kanyenye Zambia ca. 1878

Description

An Antique African Slave Trading etching print titled in Zulu/Afrikaans "Ontmoeting te Kanyenye" ("Meeting at Kanye Nye").  This Dutch etching print dates from 1878.  It depicts Cameroon slaves in Kanyenye, Zambia and is taken from the book titled “The Earth and her Nations”.  This antique print is matted in dark green suede with a small white boarder and measures approx: 9” x 12” (24 x 30 cm) with the inside print measurement of approx: 6” x 8” (14.5 x 19.5 cm). The paper has German print on the back and is in very good condition with one or two small brown spots and as seen in the pics.  What a great find for the vintage and antique art collector!
