    Description

This auction is for a Vietnam Era Bayonet and scabbard.  It is an Arsenal repack of a Vietnam Era Bayonet & scabbard.  Inspected and repackaged in 1976.  The box is from May 1967. It contains a  NIB  M7Bayonet with a  USM8A1 scabbard. It is unknown who the maker is for both the bayonet and scabbard as this box has never been opened and there are no identifiers.  It was Arsenally Sealed in December of 1976.    The bayonet and scabbard are both virgin. The bayonet has never been inserted into the scabbard and the scabbard has never had a bayonet inserted into it. The USM8A1 is the last of the classic design scabbards that goes back to its' origin in WW2.   After 45 years, the original masking tape has lost some of its' adhesive quality, but, the seal has never been broken.  The box your bayonet will come in is a collectible by itself.  From May of 1967, it originally contained 2 new USM8A1 scabbards in cellophane.  You will receive the box in the photos.
