    Description

RCA RESTAURANT SAUCER Cafeteria Sterling East Liverpool, OH Post-50s RARE
This plate was used at the RCA Victor plant in Camden, New Jersey, in the Executive Dining Room.
The plate is in excellent condition.  No chips, with modest wear at the cup depression.  There are some white "dots" on the back, but these seem to be part of the manufacturing process.  The plate is approximately 5 1/2" diameter.
The mark states "Sterling, Vitrified China, East Liverpool, Ohio, USA, D-2"
PLEASE NOTE - if there is interest in this highly collectible china, I have other small plates and saucers.  Please click on my seller name for the other pieces.  I'm happy to combine shipping.
A bit more history in case it is of interest:
About RCA:  RCA (Radio Corporation of America) was an American company from 1919 to 1986 (and this china is from the Camden, New Jersey plant). The RCA trademark is currently owned by a French conglomerate. In 1929 RCA purchased the Victor Talking Machine Company, then the world's largest manufacturer of phonographs (including the famous "Victrola") and phonograph records.
For more than 100 years, East Liverpool, OH was one of the two major pottery centers in the United States, the other being located at Trenton, New Jersey.
