SONY Hysteresis Synchronous Motor HC-134 Tape Recorder used in Panasonic and other Japanese Vintage Tape machines.
This Hysteresis Synchronous Motor has immense torque, runs exactly at 1800 rpm even when a high load is applied to the pulley.
Motor also has instant start to full speed.
Synchronous motors like these have been used in vintage Transcription Turntables, they are comparable to the
famous Papst Außenläufer Motor
Extremely high torque motor complete with its original Oil filled Motor Run Capacitor (these caps never go bad) 1.5 uF
(connected) and .5 uF (probably for 50 hz operation)
2 stepped pulley 1 1/2" high, motor body size incl fan 3.5" x 3.5 " ,
Even without oiling, the motor runs very quiet and absolutely true. Even with a significant load the motor RMP does not move.
CONDITION: EXCELLENT Great condition, two tiny scraped spots in the green paint, otherwise close to perfect.
