    Description

SELLING UNUSUAL AND RARE ITEMS ON EBAY FOR 23 YEARS-QUALITY, NOT QUANTITY! - A rare and beautiful, wood and glass framed advertising piece put out by Smith-Powell-Lee Funeral Home of Montgomery, Alabama. It has a stunning and inspiring image of the famous Booker T. Washington sculpture " Lifting The Veil Of Ignorance " that was completed by sculptor Charles Keck at Tuskegee Institute in 1922. The piece is approx. 11 x 8 1/2 and had small nails in the back to secure it, although the back was very loose. We removed a couple nails and are securing the back for shipping, [see photo] but leaving it unsealed for the buyer to complete. An unusual aspect of the back is that the thermometer can be easily accessed and removed, if desired, by gently removing three staples.
