VERY RARE CHRONOSCOPE PAP ACTINOMETER
IN ORIGINAL BOX
This was something that came into my husbands possession, probably given to him because we were into photography.
It is a early means of being able to select correct exposure for film and photography circa 1910.
As you would expect with something that is 100+/-years old there is wear but nothing to interfere with enjoying this cool object.

and even the die cut papers!
When I first started looking into this item I had discovered that one was auctioned in 1998 at Christie's in London earning what was then equal to 9. (I may still be able to provide a link to the auction record if your request it.)
It is passe in this age of smart cameras and digital photography, but it is such an interesting artifact of "how it used to be done".
